Our Vision & Values
Our School Vision is based on the same theological roots as our Values, where everyone is
nurtured as an individual so that through faith, they are empowered to achieve their God-given potential and make outstanding progress.
At Goring, we embed a culture where love for all of God’s creation is evident and where children are placed firmly at the centre of everything we do. Every member of our school is special, unique and valued equally as a child of God. We are created in His image and He gifts us with talents so that we can aspire to be deliberately distinctive, to flourish and make a positive difference to our school, local community and to our wider world.
Everyone is encouraged to ‘look up’ and ‘look out’, beyond themselves, to develop empathy and ask deep questions. We are also challenged to ‘look in’ and to be the best we can be academically, personally and socially. As a result, learning experiences help us to strengthen our sense of self-worth.
Through subject-led and skills based learning, we place an emphasis on ‘wow’ experiences for our children, where they can make cross-curricular links to learning supported by quality texts, technology and engaging first-hand experiences.
We inspire children to be happy, respectful, safe and to be the very best versions of themselves, through encouragement, love and high aspiration.
“Our Lord is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path” Pslam 119:105
Statement of Entitlement
At Goring CE Primary School, we ensure that we fully meet the requirement of The Statement of Entitlement. This outlines the entitlement of all children who attend church schools so that they receive a high quality curriculum for Religious Education, supporting them in all aspects of their learning.
Our Values

Our Values are embedded through our mission statement:
Flourishing together in Faith and Love.
Our children helped to create our school moto and are taught to:
Be respectful, be safe and be your best.
The values we explore with the children are evidenced and lived out daily through praise, recognition, celebration and positive encouragement. They shape the relationships we have with others, the teaching we deliver and how we live.
Children receive special mentions through our class “Values Flame”, House Points, and our weekly Values Award and Celebration Worship, which are attended and treasured by families.
Our 2033 Vision
Flourishing together in Faith and Love
We are the flames that ignite God’s love, through the acts of kindness, generosity and empathy we share with one another.
With Faith we aspire to be our very best in what we can achieve, and together we will make a difference within our school, community and the wider world.
Rooted in God’s love, we can flourish in everything that we do.
“…because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing.”
2 Thessalonians 1:3

What does this mean for us and how will we live it:
We put our trust in God, believing in ourselves and having hope for the future.
We act as the flames that ignite God’s love through our words, our actions and by praying and praising together.
We are all on a spiritual journey and we trust that God is with us always, giving us courage to move forwards even if we are unsure.

What does this mean for us and how will we live it:
Following Jesus’ example, we share unconditional kindness, warmth and respect with everyone in our community.
We create an inclusive environment where we can flourish, feel safe and valued and can learn and play together in unity.
No-one is left alone or behind.

What does this mean for us and how will we live it:
To achieve our God-given potential, we aspire to be the very best we can be through our learning and the progress we make.
We aim high, work hard and are motivated to make a difference in the world.
We foster life-long development, creativity, determination and purpose. We embrace new challenges with resilience and courage.

What does this mean for us and how will we live it:
The whole school community understands the importance of service and stewardship of God’s wonderful creation, through the positive changes we make, both big and small.
We always look out for and look after one another, and are committed to making a real difference to our community.
With this, we aim to shape the future, both locally and globally.

What does this mean for us and how will we live it:
Just as Jesus did, we treat everyone with gentle compassion and celebrate the diverse gifts of every individual.
We seek to understand how others feel and we always try to listen and support with an open heart.
We are respectful and responsive when someone is upset
or needs us.
We uplift those around us.
Together, our vision and values form a guiding light, illuminating the path toward a fulfilled and meaningful life.
